Importing kratom at wholesale volume is straightforward when the fundamentals are in place — and expensive when they are not. This guide walks through the decisions that determine whether your first container arrives on schedule with the right paperwork, or sits in customs with a surprise fee.

Start with the paperwork, not the price

Before comparing prices per kilogram, confirm your destination market’s legal status and import requirements. Kratom regulation varies widely by country, and in several markets it changes every year. A qualified exporter will provide COA, phytosanitary certificate, packing list, commercial invoice, and certificate of origin. Ask exactly which documents your supplier includes as standard — and get them in writing.

Understanding MOQ and sample economics

  • Standard wholesale MOQ is 25 kg per product at KratomWholesale.id.
  • Lab samples (100g–500g) are available at cost and are fully credited against your first order.
  • Sample testing your own lot at an independent lab is worth the few hundred dollars before committing to volume.

Choosing Incoterms that match your risk tolerance

FOB Jakarta hands responsibility to you once the goods are on board; CIF adds insurance and freight to your destination port and suits buyers who want a single fixed landed cost. New importers frequently prefer CIF while they build freight relationships, then move to FOB or DAP once they have a trusted forwarder.

“The cheapest price per kilogram is rarely the cheapest price per shipped-and-landed kilogram.”

Freight and lead time planning

Sea freight is the economical choice for bulk volume with typical transit times of three to five weeks depending on your port. Air freight is reserved for urgent or smaller orders. Build a buffer of two to three weeks into your stocking plan, and keep at least one reorder cycle of inventory ahead of demand so a delayed vessel never empties your shelf.
